About Peace Bennett

Peace Bennett

Peace Bennett is a dedicated Christian who is deeply in love with Jesus, and that love runs through everything she does.

For years she has served in home care and medical transport, and her heart has always been with the elderly. She has sat beside husbands and wives who loved each other for fifty and sixty years, holding hands in hospital rooms, finishing each other’s stories, and keeping promises long after keeping them became hard. Watching them taught her that lasting love is rarely perfect and often tested, but when it is kept, it is one of the most beautiful things on earth. Those quiet lessons shaped the heart of Promises Made in Pencil, and characters like Miriam, whose fifty-eight-year marriage became the story’s guiding light, carry a little of every couple she has been privileged to care for.

She is also a graphic designer, the creator of the PreciousOne Daily Devotional app (www.preciousonedaily.com), and the author of the children’s book Good Manners for Boys & Girls. She is the proud mother of three sons, Frank, Fred and Francis, and the grandmother of Ché Rogér.

Promises Made in Pencil is her first novel. She wrote it for every couple who has ever wondered whether their love can survive what life has handed them. She believes it can, with patience, forgiveness, and the grace of God.
